Not noticed by me before.
Henk Joore pointed me to a detail on some
Nortons found on the Thistlegorm.
The upturned exhaust pipes as specified in spare parts list for India office
bikes in 1939,
but also applied to earlier India Office M/C's since 1937.
Not many pictures of those are to be found.
